On November 17, 1993, Haddaway was the first artist to enter the book "Artists About AIDS" during the ZDF Pop Show at Westfalenhalle in Dortmund, Germany. Since that date 236 artists followed his example and wrote a short statement about the topic AIDS into this book, among them stars like Elton John, Billy Joel, Phil Collins, Joe Cocker, Al Jarreau, Barry Manilow, Jethro Tull, Huey Lewis, Paul Young, Take That, Tina Turner, Dionne Warwick and many more ... "Artists About AIDS" is a project by Red Ribbon Germany. All royalties from the sale of the handwritten original entries will be split between the German AIDS Foundation and the Elton John AIDS Foundation.
